when I was 17, and never came back. It did take me a long time to become a decent housekeeper (I admit I was a major slob until I was in my mid-30's and had a kid). But there is no way I could have lived with my parents as an adult and kept my sanity. The only way my parents did that (my grandfather lived with us), is that my dad invited grandpa (his FIL) to move into HIS house. Mom never got to be alone for her entire life, and she had to tell her father when she was coming home until he was put into a nursing home at age 99 or thereabouts.
