if possible, buy long VGA/DVI, USB and Audio cable and place the computer in the room next to you. I did this with 5 meter cables to place the computer 4 meters away from me in the same room. My computer still has two fans and they are only hearable if nothing else makes noise. As already asked, does your computer really need to run at night? For downloads, you could consider using a less powerful machine.
