programming contest by dennismv 2009-08-26 22:50:31
I am designing flyers for a contest that will feature writing programs for speed and getting prizes at the end.

I want many people to attend. My flyers currently say stuff like:
"increase your programming skills by 100%"
"you can program twice as fast if you attend this event"
"this event will increase your programming skills"

I am starting to think that it is misleading. The event is not a seminar where you learn speed tricks. It is a contest, where if you take the contest seriously and become dedicated to it and practice, you eventually will pick up speed. You will not become faster however, by just attending the event once.

Are there better ways to entice newcomers ? Marketing majors, I am talking to you !!
