How accurate is GPS? by McNutcase2009-08-26 16:23:07
Officially its... by keffa 2009-08-26 16:49:16
Officially its 36m for civilian GPS receivers and 6 metres for military ones.

In practise you will find the accuracy is between 3 and 6 metres depending on your location and signal lock, WAAS capability and so forth.

I recently found my civilian GPS receiver to be quite useless during my recent tour of Afghanistan, most likely because they where doing something to the signal to prevent the Taliban from making use of it.

WAAS is DGPS, has asked for non-DGPS. by AndyA2009-08-26 16:56:21
