it, and more. People LIKE Medicare. People LIKE national parks. People LIKE interstate highways, people LIKE state funding for education. Shall we disband the FAA because we need to pay less taxes? Are the seniors protesting in the town halls crying for an end to Medicare? Heck no, they are being frightened into believing it will be cut!

You might slow it, but you'll stand as much chance of reversing it as carrying a Popsicle through hell. We are not a rural, agrarian society anymore. Never will be again. Like it or despise it, we are becoming more and more urbanized and more and more connected to the rest of the world.

Time to grow up as a country. Time to realize our nation cannot exist as a bunch of lone wolf cowboys each determined to live by our own rules. Some don't play by the rules, and Government needs to be there to ensure equity. Sometimes you're gonna have your toes stepped on to allow others "Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness."
