A little bit difficult to explain. I can make up my own axioms, and my own logic, sure, but: I still need the belief that this all will work. It's only a very, very, very slight grain of doubt, but it is there.

And you write yourself "it *appears* that rules of logic ... are at least so basic"

Logic only *appears* to be basic. We cannot be 100% sure. Perhaps 99.99999999999% sure, but not 100%. But this the very edge of possible human thought.
