taking his message directly to the people? There is a good chance that most people of faith will look to those whom they look to for spiritual guidance on many issues because their faith has a strong bearing on whether or not they support an issue. If those he requests that support from choose to give it to him, then that should mean they see no reason it conflicts with their spiritual beliefs. If they do feel it conflicts, they should not give that support. If they do, it is their own choosing. And if they pass the message on to those who look to them, those people in turn still have to decide for themselves whether or not they support the issue.
