Personal thoughts on bullying by Twitchh2009-08-26 06:37:56

I could have played your role for for much of what you told.

I didn't study martial arts but started to develop a defense mechanism when I got to secondary school by ganging up with other, for the lack of better words, nerdy/geeky kids. We didn't really fight, but were left alone as a group.

When caught out alone there still was occasional bullying until the day I challenged one of the guys to face me alone and outsmarted him instead of going into melee where I usually wasn't holding my own too well. I embarrassed him in front of his mates by catching one of his kicks and yanking on the leg I had now firmly in my hands, dragging him over the floor.

I left that battle field with my head held high and was not bothered anymore hence.

Oh, and adults were not much help at all, that's true for sure.
