Lawdog on Separation of Church and State by DesertRat662009-08-26 07:37:13
  At some point... by kelli217 2009-08-26 08:18:11
...you just have to get down and dirty and fight on the same level as your opponents. If the Republicans want to invoke God and Jesus (and many of them don't, but enough of them do to make it a noticeable thing) as a basis for support for their Darwinist views (ironic, don't you think?), then the Democrats can go on and on about how it violates precepts of keeping politics and religion separate, but eventually when they realize that no one's listening except the people who already agree with them, they decide to fight fire with fire.

Tu Quoque is a fallacious argument, but when we're not exactly playing by the rules of formal debate anyway, then Tu Quoque becomes "turnabout is fair play."

I would now like to see Republican attorneys fired from the DoJ, and a litmus test applied for hiring new ones. I would like to see the Democrats use their party's email servers for official government communications in contravention of law and then 'lose' the emails. I would like to see the Obama admininstration leak damaging stories about highly-placed people who criticize the administration's policies. I would like to see climate skeptics in governmental science positions fired or muzzled. And I'd like to see them left unpunished for any of it, merely mentioned in a few marginalized media outlets.
