I've found the "shoe-shop diagonal" lacing	by vdp	2009-08-24 21:02:09
to make it easiest to tighten the shoes. The version I've used goes from the furthest eyelet to the next-to-closest eyelet on the opposite side, after which both ends cross one last time from the next-to-closest eyelet to the closest one. I hope that makes sense...
