I really hate paying for software to the point that if an open source product doesn't quite do what I need, I'll contribute the improvements myself rather than pay for an alternative. But there are only two circumstances in which I'll ever pirate anything:

1. The demo version of the system excludes a feature that I need to evaluate before making a purchase, so I'll download a cracked version and then either purchase it or delete it within a few days.

2. I already own the product legally, but the DRM is in the way of doing something legit.
