to be capable of thought? Is a fish capable of thought? Is it capable of thinking "I?"

Granted, there must be something to do the thinking, but, is it always necessary for that something to be aware that it is thinking? Is awareness of external stimuli and internal states such as hunger, injury, and illness enough for thought?
