However, it can sometimes be rather difficult to prove. Rule of thumb is safety trumps law. However, when you choose to do this, YOU fully take the consequences upon yourself. There used to be a time that the law expected citizens to actively assist the law, then for awhile many states had rendering aid laws. Now, even most of the humanitarian aid laws have been dropped by states. We have traded common sense and good will for dumbing down society and CYA.
