so first, my idea of bulky: 11 x 7 x 9 inches (height x width x depth) (2 speakers), and 11 x 14 x 7 (depth x length x height) subwoofer I suppose I won't mind the size as much, but I do not want 5 speakers on my desk. I want just 3 max. Hiss is coming from the speakers when they are not even connected to the soundcard. I think it's the interference that comes from unshielded audio cables. There is a Guitar Center in my area. I have a Creative card. Are you suggesting USB speakers are better ? The size of speaker in the link is about the size speakers I have. Mine are called W.A.V.E. 360 speakers, and I cannot find this company or even photos of it anywhere.
