I saw it in the middle of a 24-hour SF movie marathon in the fall of 1975 at (possibly) the Walnut theater in Philly. It came on around 3AM, when the audience was very punchy (if you left and came back, you had to pay again, so we went in for the entire thing, being students - we brought a backpack full of food, 2 gallons of Kool-Aid, and pillows).
There was dialog where some troglodyte-ish workers were saying "Do it for the whole" and then Ursula Andress would come on screen and some guys in the orchestra (we were up in the first balcony) would should out "yeah! Do it for the hole!"
We saw some decent films, too, including the original 15-minute version of THX-1138, Seconds, Zardoz, Westworld, Futureworld (possibly), The Day the Earth Stood Still, a Godzilla movie? Ah, I don't remember any more (actually, we couldn't name all the movies we just saw after the marathon ended and we were waiting for the uptown bus to get back to the dorm). |
