UFicle: censorware question by FNORDer2009-08-24 04:56:33
Anyway: back on topic. by FNORDer 2009-08-24 06:13:17
The friend for whom I am making this request has a MUCH better relationship with her children than I had with my parents. They discuss things of this nature with their children and are generally good at dealing with things like this. The current situation came about when a friend of the children (aged 12) urged the eldest boy (aged 10) to view adult material with them on the internet.

She has asked for my assistance in choosing some content filtering software to use in the event that they are:
  1. Not watching the children
  2. While they have friends over who may:
  3. Urge them to do things they may never consider doing in the normal course of events.

Situations like this arise all the time. All the things I got up to at the urging of my friends when I was younger: playing with flammables and fire, climbing unstable hillsides beside freeways, throwing water baloons at cars etc. You can't be there for everything and they'd rather the option that adult material doesn't become an issue when they're not. Because, as you can see, they have plenty enough to worry about as it is.
Now could I please get a little more advice on the subject at hand?
