UFicle: censorware question by FNORDer2009-08-24 04:56:33
Well. by aix tom 2009-08-24 05:04:48
1) It is hard to install censorware on a friends computer. ;-P

2) Anything that is installed on the computer itself is pretty easy circumvented when the kid is more tech-savy than the parents. Even if they lock down everything, there are still live CDs to be booted from.

The best technical solution would be to set up some sort of proxy on the router. That would then depend on how they are connected.

But in my opinion kids can handle most things they see, as long as they know they can talk about it with their parents. That is, the parent shouldn't over-react with the "OMF!!! What have you seen!!! AAAAHHHHHH!!!"
