I prefer high and narrow for backpacks (as the 300) and to have a rain cover would be a requirement for me (as the 200). Very important for me would be a well made product that would take a lot of wear and tear and protecting what's inside. So even if I think I'd prefer the layout of the 300 I'd go with the Kata. Note that I would personally buy one that I could feel and try a bit before buying (does my gear fit, can I adjust it like I want to...)
