Learn to make easy cheap sauces. Soups are easy, cheap and filling. Whole chickens: you can roast them, eat em for a couple of days and the make soup from the carcass. Turkey doubly so. Find sales and stock up on inexpensive meats(assuming you have a freezer.) Eggs can replace protein from meat. A lot of deli counters sell end cuts inexpensively. Cheese is expensive, as are candy and prepared foods. Generally, the more flavorful a dish is the less you will require of it to feel satisfied so get used to using more spices. As for specific dishes: I'd need to know exactly what you have.
