All men (irony) are not created equal. Some are smart, some are dumb. Some are healthy, some are sick. Some are short, some are tall. Some are givers, some are takers. Some will help others, some will abuse others. Some are leaders, some are followers, etc.

The whole idea of "equality" was a construct of the people, by the people and for the people - We all want to be treated the way the rich and famous are treated, but only they can afford it. We don't have the money, but we *do* have the votes, so we make it law.

Which is in and of itself a failure, because you can't legislate human nature, only what reprisals you can pull from that nature.
