Take the chimpanzees, our closest relatives among the apes if a female with a male young is kicked out of her band and joins a new band they adult males will kill and eat the infant.

This was first seen by Jane Goodall and has been witnessed 23 times since (as of 12 years ago.)

Dolphins have been known to save humans, but they are pretty much the top of their food chain. You won't see them giving mercy to a shark though; they have a brutally efficient and extremely cruel way of killing sharks.
