URL encoding, %2E, IE and Firefox by rorajoey 2009-05-08 14:14:05
I'm trying to encode a URL so it can include punctuation. For example:

http://www.testsite.com/search?key=Mr%2E%20Coffee

Firefox is unable to load the page; it thinks the page doesn't exist because it's converting the %2E to a dot/period/fullstop before loading the page.

IE is able to load the page properly, and it uses "Mr. Coffee" as a search key on the page in question, as it was designed.

Is there any kind of workaround to make this work in Firefox?

Just for fun, have you set the user-agent to IE? by PeKaJe2009-05-08 15:33:55
