If we postulate that there is something above, beyond, or otherwise external to our Universe that can influence it, then we would have to start speculating about that. There is no evidence that anything external to our Universe exists.
Using Occam's Razor, we postulate a single cause for our Universe. Whether that be a random Big Bang, or a Creator, or something else is less important. As soon as we start postulating something more complicated that this, we delve into illogic and wild speculation.
Or, in other words, our Universe is not a shed. We have no evidence that it is simply another entity in a 'higher' world of other entities, and Occam's Razor indicates that it would be illogical to speculate on such a world without any evidence at all. |
