The easiest way to identify which type of MX switch you've got is to take a small keycap off (hooking two paperclips under opposite corners and pulling is supposed to work well if you don't have a key puller tool) as the cherry keyswitches are colour coded with blue (clicky), black (linear) and brown (similar to blue but quieter and softer) being the most common.
