Not quite the UF Philosophy Corner by MatthewDBA2009-05-08 07:30:42

What will be the difference in your experience of the being?

As an analogy, suppose I am introduced to you as a computer programmer. Now, it happens that in college I wrote a program to act as an infinite-precision calculator. It was an exercise in using the language, and once I verified that it worked, I essentially forgot about it. Do you experience me in a different way than you would if I hadn't written that program - given that you didn't know whether I had written such a program in the first place? If so, how would the two experiences differ?

Well, I think in the specific example by MatthewDBA2009-05-08 09:55:40
Ok. So the question is, is it logically necessary by tut2009-05-08 10:03:17
Well, sort of by MatthewDBA2009-05-08 10:08:01
That would depend largely on the expectations... by Sharku2009-05-08 10:16:15
