I have spent eight ever-lovin' years on this board, and during most of that time I have been trying to convince people that Christians aren't really raving xenophobes. I want to thank you for demolishing a large chunk of that work. I've had my good years, and my bad years, my successes and my failures. But the biggest problem I've ever had, by far, is people like you.
When did God walk up to you and inform you that "certain people" were not allowed in his church? Tell me, how DO you expect someone you (and I) regard as a sinner to hear about God's word if you're keeping them out of the church? How DO you expect people to hear Christ's loving voice over you shouting "OVER MY DEAD BODY!"?
I'm assuming that you've never sinned, since you feel just fine judging whether sinners can enter your church. You must be God's older brother! Because Christ himself invited in sinners! He ate with sinners, spoke with sinners, walked and talked with sinners.
Now I would not let a gay person come in and start preaching about the wonders of the gay lifestyle in my church. That would not belong. Any more than it would be right to allow Illiad (who is pagan) to come in to Sunday school and start teaching about what he believes in. But you know what? If a Satanist wanted to come in to my church and hear about the Lord Jesus Christ I would shake his hand as he came in the door! Because that's what Christ would do.
Someday, I hope you understand that you are not behaving in any way like a Christian when you do these things. I'll pray that day comes soon. |
