I have friends besides my spouse.
Friendship - even best-friendship - is at a vastly different level than marriage. You share parts of yourself with your spouse that you don't share with anyone else. Your spouse gets to know you on levels that very few other people could. I tell my spouse things that I would never tell even my parents, much less my closest non-spouse friend.
