It appears that the XP disc in my possession isn't an upgrade after all, it's a full install. So I may not even have the option of not doing a nuke and pave. If that's the case, I'm in for a full freaking day plus half of another of work and continual frustration to get this box back to being useful; it has that many apps on it. I am truly not happy that this XP disc is not an Upgrade, because that it what it was supposed to have been. This emulates a shop-vac.
