Job interview vibes needed by kyrasantae 2009-04-10 21:52:38
I've got an interview tomorrow and one late next week. I'm in super-desperate mode because if I don't have a job offer (and I'll accept almost anything at this point, except retail) by the end of the month, I have to move home and that's the last thing I want. The end of the month is critical because that's when my current lease expires.

I know it's partly the recession and all that, but I'm so unbelievably frustrated because I've actually put effort into my job search instead of the half-a3ed efforts from previous years. I did a bunch of volunteer work (even got myself a student group executive position - albeit just the club secretary - for next year) that I could write onto my résumé and handed out a pile of them. I sucked it up and *actually* wrote cover letters. I applied for jobs in which I could utilize my skills (e.g. desk work), do stuff related to my future career (e.g. teaching summer camps), or where I learn some new skills (e.g. gardening). I *actually* got interviews. But yet I just don't seem to be getting anywhere, and I need to get somewhere *really* quick now.

The sooner I have something, I might be able to beg and plead for an apartment on campus for Apr 30 / May 1. Otherwise, a friend has an extra room that I could rent until I can get into one of those apartments.

I just don't want to go home. I could probably go back to doing graveyard at Wal*splart there but I have my own life now and I need my own space.
