I am >< this close to giving up on CSS. I am trying to get this website built, but the layout is driving me nuts!
I have a menu, it (along with the resto fo the site) is laid out using CSS. I have classes set for the menu items that make them have a background color when the mouse goes over them, along with setting a border around each item. The menu is at the left of the screen and occupies 126 pixels. Is is too much to ask that everything else on the page appear to the right of the menu? Not underneath, but to the right, and that everything in the right side of the screen aligns nicely, without scrolling to the right?
Whats more, as I was making changes, all of a sudden, the menu would not work at all UNLESS I placed it inside the main content div. WTF? One minute it worked, the next it didn't. I made changes to the main content CSS, but not the menu CSS - why did it decide to no longer work?
I have closed Screem for the night. I am done with it for the night. Time to surf sites that behave (usually) and not think about coding.
