I'm also starting to suspect it's not a Flash version issue, but since you asked: 
MIME Type                       Description             Suffixes Enabled
application/x-shockwave-flash   Shockwave Flash         swf      Yes

So, not sure where to go with this. I'm psyched that Fancast now has some Hill Street Blues from the third season and also some Lois and Clark I haven't seen yet, but it's all moot right now.
