Halp! Vista downgrade issue. by vulture 2009-04-10 17:01:01
I'm having a problem with "upgrading" to XP from Vista. Every time I try to install the sound card drivers I downloaded from Acer I get a "Install Realtek HD Audio Driver Failure!" error. Every other driver I downloaded from Acer worked, but this one will not work. I can't uninstall the Windows default drivers, it claims that the device is required for boot-up. My guess is because it is on-board. Has anyone else had this problem?

Another (unlikely) solution may be OS patches. by kahuana2009-04-10 17:34:19
