Project launch! Help Fight Childhood Cancer is live!
Help Fight Childhood Cancer aims to develop novel drugs to treat neuroblastoma, one of the most frequently occurring solid tumors in children. Neuroblastoma comprises 6-10% of all childhood cancers, and 15% of cancer deaths in children. It is the most common cause of death in children with solid cancer tumors.
The World Community Grid is a grid computing project whose mission "[...] is to create the world's largest public computing grid to tackle projects that benefit humanity." Their current projects are Help Fight Childhood Cancer, The Clean Energy Project, Nutritious Rice for the World, Help Conquer Cancer, Discovering Dengue Drugs – Together, FightAIDS@Home and Human Proteome Folding Phase 2.
