At some point you need to have an axiom in order to base everything else off of.

If you can't trust your own mind to exist then ipso facto no conclusions whatsoever can be definitively proven.

Past that point further cogitation is purely mental masturbation. You reach a point where the only further explanation can be G-d or some other supernatural entity. It's like asking "what existed before the big bang?" The question itself becomes meaningless beyond that point.
