Unfortunately, it sounds like they were lied to instead. Which counts as taking advantage of people in mourning, at their most vulnerable.
Personally, I've never had a problem with people choosing to bury only the top half of the suit, or reclaiming the jewelry on the body during the visitation before closing up the casket, or whatever other measures they choose to take, as long as it's the *family* who are making those decisions. A funeral home who takes those measures and steals the dead's property without telling the family is among the scum of the earth. |
