At first, it was a pretty schizophrenic writing style, but it settled down after a while, and we broke our "no editing" rule to tone down the beginning part a bit so it fit.
Still haven't finished it, though...we wrote ourselves into so many holes that we haven't figured a way to detonate them all and end up with a coherent ending. We started about 18 years ago and stalled out about 10 years ago.
