If it's attached to my network without my knowing about it then it definitely shouldn't be there. I would then attempt to connect to it over an isolated network in order to determine its function and purpose. If none can be found I'd zap all the disks and take whatever parts are useful. Later I'll "plug" the empty box back into the network and see who comes looking for their stuff.
