Ive seen them that are just as happy as can be cuddling, and those that while tame will bite you as hard as they can, and snap like a cross between a snapping turtle and a snake if you ever try to even touch them. no, it was not abused, it just DETESTED being touched. If you wanna get one try playing with it in the store (or wherever) before getting it.
