Creepy. Creepy creepy creepy. And now that's out of the way:
The opening karioke song sort of works. When it does not evoke Bon Jovi, that is. Haunting song.
The rest of the soundtrack... I can swear I heard a bit of sountrack from one of the many Godzilla movies at one point.
Basically the plot is like Evangelion, with a set number of monsters scheduled to appear and be defeated, and plenty of drama in between.
Did I mention the flying pokemon? Well, I just did.
Everybody is pretty reasonably drawn. No overly huge chests, millwheel sized eyes or green hair. (Well, actually some green hair, but that's just lighting.)
On a side note: is there only one back-alley in Japan? How is that?
And only one classroom? I mean, the classroon depicted there is the same one as in Azumanga Daioh, and even a number of others.
