as long as you don't end up with too many cooks you should be fine. just keep in contact and keep everyone on a level field even after the procedure. my guess is that your dad and stepmom, are feeling vulnerable right now and showing it in different ways. Once the fluid is out and the cause is found and treated then things will probably get better. good luck.
