when we fall off into geek babble and assume they'll understand.
I'm making a change to an interface to our financials system, and I needed some clarification from the users. So, I send off an email.
Me: In this process we are loading to batch ABC123. I need to know what the new batch name is for the new system.
User: ABC is now going to be 17.
Me: I thought the new numbers were 5 digit.
Other User: Yes, so the new batch name is 17123.
Me: Well, duh. Thanks!!!
