I'm pretty sure philosophers have debated that one for centuries. But it can be a real problem for scientists too. For instance, when is something "alive"? People have tried to come up with a general definition for a long time, yet any criteria set up so far either encompass things we cannot accept to be alive or exclude things we're certain *are* alive. It's just another aspect of classification that is indeterminable.
