It's best used for applications that won't see massive amounts of random writes. Although it's tempting to use it as a swap drive or data drive for a database, simply because of the awesome speed, that would help hasten the degradation in speed (due to the load-leveling going ape-s4) and eventual failure of the drive from lots and lots of huge random writes and, therefore, erasures.
