10,000 writes is not the lifespan of an SSD. See my other post, and re-read the article in detail. It gives a much clearer picture of the lifespan of a drive, which is more likely equivalent to a hard drive, if used as an average boot/system drive and not thrashed needlessly with large, randomly written databases for fun and profit.
