that's planned obsolescence when used as a HDD replacement. Especially when you consider the clear method he recommends.

As for being "fast": can't run very fast when the engine blows, which that will do.

As for buying an X25-M:
Check the cost versus a set of WD black 1TB drives.
Then compare TCO over 5 years of use as a HD versus the benefeits.

Ive still got 4GB and 20GB HDDs I use every day. these drives will fail long before they become too small to use.
