And money orders are your friend in such cases. USPS is usually the cheapest way to go.

Thank the control freaks of the drug war for this bit of lunacy; because of the ridiculous reporting requirements for *cash* deposits over a certain amount, many banks limit the currency that can be deposited in one month to a personal account. Sometimes this can be circumvented by buying money orders and depositing *those* instead...but if the total amount deposited is still in excess of the DEA-watch single-transaction trigger level, they may either assess you a fee or do other nasty things.

Holders of small business accounts often have similar issues to deal with. If I deposit more than a certain amount of cash at one time, they nick me for a fee at my bank. (I'm shopping for a new one.)
