Combining a split partition on a dynamic disk by altordwm2009-03-23 13:41:12
Are they all on the same physical disk or is it by Classic_Jon2009-03-23 13:45:18
    It is a RAID 5 array, by altordwm2009-03-23 14:00:19

The two e: partition was because it was extended by altordwm 2009-03-23 16:30:16
It had partitions of D:, E:, F:, and G: originally. Then, E: needed more space, so it was expanded (putting the second partition on there), then H: was added, then F: extended, and well...you get the idea.

Dynamic disks work great for things like that. You can add the space to a partition without needing space directly behind the existing partition. It does make it a pain when you want to clean up after deleting partitions, however.

It's not worth backing up, blowing away, and restoring. I can live with it as it is. I was just hoping I could do this fairly painlessly. C'est la vie.
