Dark Side...
I hand delivered an application to the local Housing Authority Thursday, and I just heard that they want to interview me tomorrow ASAP. Yes, you heard it right, if I get this one I will be right in the middle of one of those gov't money streams you keep hearing about.
Positives are, that's for a year or two there should be plenty of money. Also great benefits being that it's a gov't job. Negatives, I'll probably be a drone, from what I gather they're pretty old fashioned there (30 year old job application documents, for example.). But I might be able to use 3 to 5 years as a drone. They reimburse tuition, so I could study and pick up several new certifications, or possibly even get a degree. And a bachelors, or even maybe a master's, would help my career along considerably.
Also, in an era of massively growing gov't, I'd likely be pretty secure. Wish me luck/pray for me people. I go in at 0830. And I'm going in suit shined and shoes pressed! :+) |
