USDOJ had an opportunity to disassociate Windows from Microsoft applications, way back when. They would have done the entire world a huge favour if they had taken that chance. Instead, they wimped out and let M$ continue forcing their practical monopoly on desktop O/S into a huge advantage in pushing their bloatware on everybody. If that opportunity had been taken, then the choice of anti-virus software could be untinged by ulterior motives. |
