to believe otherwise, it's quite aggravating. I've pointed such out *several* times, pointed to several definitive sources on the matter and they still insist that GPS can be upgraded on a whim to be send+receive... Never mind that some (most?) of those GPS satellites are going on 20(?) years old now.

the only way to do real-time wireless data tracking with GPS is to stick a cell (data) modem or other transmitter in the device.
